Brilliant Fish was set up by Liz Gordon in 2010 to provide professional yet affordable PR & marketing support for charities, not-for-profits, social enterprises and small business.
Liz recognised that accessing these services can be increasingly difficult financially for those just starting out in business. For charities and not-for-profits, marketing is often at the bottom of the priority list due to funding cuts and is quite often left to volunteers or those with no experience.
With funding from UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs, Liz started up Brilliant Fish as a social enterprise to demystify marketing in a friendly and approachable way for those who really needed expert guidance and support on a tight budget. Her model of social enterprise is that she charges a lower for rate for charities, not-for-profits & other social enterprises whilst still charging an affordable rate for business.
Liz says: ‘I love being able to change the way our clients think about public relations and marketing, especially social media, and to see how easy it can be to translate what they love doing into great marketing messages.’
Qualified with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Liz has a background in the Education, Financial Services and Public sectors with extensive experience in mentoring and volunteer recruitment & management. Excellent customer service has always been a passion for Liz and has featured in every role of her career.
