Jane Shemilt

Jane Shemilt is an internationally-acclaimed, best-selling author of psychological suspense novels. Her debut novel Daughter was a Richard and Judy pick, shortlisted for the Lucy Cavendish award and nominated for an Edgar award. It became the fastest selling debut of 2014.

Her latest novel All Her Secrets has been featured in the Sunday Times Best Crime Books of 2023: “Jane Shemilt’s crime fiction focuses on the effects of class, family conflicts and betrayals. All Her Secrets is expertly crafted, switching between scenes in London in the present day and a Greek island 20 years earlier. It tells the harrowing story of a sexual assault on a Greek girl by three teenage boys from England, and the visiting family’s complicity in hushing it up. It’s quietly damning, yet ends on an optimistic note.”

Liz met Jane when she was an expert at the Sidmouth Literary Festival “How To Get Published Day’ in March 2023 and has worked with Jane on the build up to publication of All Her Secrets, supporting her by creating the all important social media content and updating her website.

All Her Secrets is published by Harper Collins and is available from independent bookshops and Amazon.
